Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder, was born on Winona Minnesota. Parents named her Winona after her hometown. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother, were both authors as well as editors. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father came from a Jewish family.
